20x20 En-caustic painting...
This is one of my new passions. I paint with a wax and resin combination called en-caustic. It has an amazing texture and feel and takes the image to another artistic level.

Images are the language of the soul

Wow! I cant believe how time flies! I wanted to share some of my recent images that connect me with my soul and the things that really matter.

God, Love, Laughter...

Transcendence
This is an underwater image and I just love how it feels like the deep peaceful space I believe we all long for in this busy, hurried culture.....to be in this world but not of it.

Maui Organic Farm

Shangri La means heaven on earth and this farm lives up to it's name. My husband and I met here 8 years ago and went back to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. If you saw Willy Wonka, the first one with Gene Wilder, it was like the scene when he opened up this door to a paradise where you could eat everything...even the dishes. That is what it felt like. The air smelled like flowers and ripe fruit. The grounds are breathtaking and majestic. This was the view from our room with a huge V of ocean, saying you are HERE! You can rent room if you take organic farming classes like composting, seeding, what to do with worms:) Our room was $120 and more like a two story house. They have a 3 ozone Jacuzzis, a warm salt water pool, infrared sauna and a waterfall if you repel down a pretty gentle cliff. We did it with our little dog in my husbands shirt like a kangaroo. It was a beautiful lifetime fit into in 24 hours.

Cover shoot for San Diego Bride and Groom Magazine

I always love and appreciate the miracles of life. While on my last working visit to San Diego I went to the Optimum Health Institute to give myself the gift of a cleanse. I always feel refreshed, energized and reconnected with the peace of God. After I checked in and went to my room, where I was going to live for a week eating raw food and drinking wheat grass, there was a beautiful woman sleeping. She woke up and we introduced ourselves. She was a supermodel on her way to New York City. The next day I was going to need to find one more model for a shoot I was doing for San Diego Bride and Groom magazine. It seems it was already arranged. She checked with her agent and kindly took time from her cleanse and rest to play with me. Her name is Viva and she has an incredible kind heart, spiritual nature and major star quality. Thank you Viva!

I also wanted to thank my friend Terri Rippee who is an amazing photographer and friend. She came to shoot the fashion and covers with me. My other dear friend Lilly Widdes who is one of the most wonderful, kind people I know did amazing hair and Make-up. Also Brian Bond who is an artistic genius did Viva's Make-up. I called him very last minute and he totally made time before his wedding to fit us in....so sweet! Vanessa from "The Salon" did her hair all sexy. Abe, Yada and Vanessa from "The Salon" are always willing to give their creative gifts to an artistic cause. Jayne Jeffrey who is an angel came along to assist and fed us live raw food from Cilantros restaurant. Her daughter was also one of the models. Life is so fun with wonderful friends creating it with you. Thank you!!!
